Every Day is Earth Day
Earth Day 2008 is April 22. Why does that matter for this blog (aside from the obvious environmental and financial impact of increasing scarce natural resources)? Because Earth Day provides a great opportunity for tie-in publicity.
Your local media-print, radio and TV-will inevitably need to produce stories and interviews for Earth Day and they’ll be eagerly looking for a fresh, new angle on environmentally aware, eco-conscience info and products. And, from the seminars to the «TODL Green» pavilion at IWCE, you’ve gained a wealth of new green-friendly resources.
Send an e-mail tomorrow to your local style editors, radio shows and local news, telling them about all the fantastic new products, fabrics and technologies a design specialist can provide for “greening” the home. Trust me…they need your information and your expertise, they have column inches and airtime to fill. It may sound cynical, and if you’re not really interested in this issue, this option isn’t for you. But there is a media need, and why shouldn’t you be the one to fill it?
